About FindIrish

FindIrish exists to answer one question well: who near me can do this job, and what do I need to know before I call them?

What we do differently

• Every local business, big or small. Established firms, sole traders, cleaners, gardeners, tree surgeons and every other local trade — any business can add itself free, and none is marked down for being small.
• Ranked on what you can check. Position depends on how complete a profile is, whether the business is on the official register for its trade, how far it is from you and how long it has been trading. Platinum and Gold members get a paid placement boost, but it is smaller than a verified registration — so a registered business on our free plan still comes first.
• The information people actually need. Distance from you on a map, years trading, typical prices for the job in your county, which register to check for regulated work (RGI, Safe Electric, SEAI, PSRA and more), reviews only from real jobs, and how quickly a business replies to quote requests.
• Every town and village. FindIrish covers all 32 counties and more than 3,200 cities, towns and villages, each with its own pages.

Where our information comes from

Business records are compiled from publicly available sources. Locations are geocoded from OpenStreetMap data. Price guides quote published Irish sources, which are named on each page. Register information links to the official bodies. Everything else — phone numbers, hours, services, prices, photos — is added by the business owner. We never scrape other directories or Google.

Our rules for ourselves

• We never invent reviews, ratings or prices. If we don't have the information, the page says so.
• Reviews come only from customers who booked through FindIrish and confirm the work was done.
• Advertising appears on guide pages only, never on business listings.
• Anyone can have their personal data corrected or removed — see our Listing & removal policy.
